How to Connect a Phantom Wallet to SquidX (Desktop and Mobile)
Step-by-step instructions for connecting Phantom on desktop and mobile, signing in safely, and what SquidX can and cannot do with your wallet.
SquidX uses the official Solana Wallet Adapter. Connecting is a signature, not a transaction — signing in never moves funds.
Desktop
Install the Phantom browser extension, click Connect in the SquidX header, choose Phantom, then approve the signature request. Your SOL balance appears in the header immediately.
Mobile
Open squidx.one in your mobile browser and tap Connect. If Phantom is installed, SquidX deep-links straight into the app and returns you to the site once you approve. If it isn't installed, you get a download link instead of a dead end.
What signing in gives us
A proof that you control the public key — nothing more. Withdrawals always go to an address you specify, and SquidX never holds your private key.
